Medicare - Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Centers - Rochester, NY.

Medicare is a federal program that helps pay for health care for individuals living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 and older. For people who do have Medicare and require drug or alcohol recovery services in Rochester, Medicare will cover certain recovery programs and treatment services. Medicare consists of different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering different types of medical care.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A covers inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation, and up to 60 days in treatment without a co-pay but individuals will be required to pay a deductible. Medicare only covers a total of 190 days of inpatient care, as in during the person's lifetime.

Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B pays up to 80% of the expenses associated with outpatient substance abuse treatment. Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an option for clients who want supplemental coverage in addition to Medicare Parts A, B, and D. People who have Part C may have more insurance benefits available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers drug and alcohol addiction medications. Including medications associated with treating withdrawal symptoms during detoxification and those used for maintenance therapy such as buprenorphine or methadone.
