The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency in charge of health efforts to promote the behavioral health of the U.S.. One of its obligations is the administering of opioid rehabilitation programs, which are centers who offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are in the midst of opioid dependency and addiction. Medications prescribed are drugs such as buprenorphine, methadone, and other drugs which help withdrawal and curb cravings for opioid dependent clients.
