Medicare - Drug and Alcohol Rehab Centers - Columbus, OH.

Medicare is a federal program which helps pay for health benefits for people living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 and older. For people that do have Medicare and need drug or alcohol recovery services in Columbus, this program will pay for certain treatment programs and recovery services. Medicare comes in different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering different kinds of treatment.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A pays for inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation, and up to 60 days in treatment without a co-pay but policy holders will be required to pay a deductible. Medicare only pays for 190 days of inpatient care total, this applies to the person's lifetime.

Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B covers up to 80% of the fees for outpatient substance abuse rehabilitation. This includes outpatient care, therapy, treatment for co-occurring mental health disorders such as depression or anxiety and medications dispensed by clinics. It also pays for professional interventions.

Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an option for individuals who want supplemental health insurance aside from what the other parts of Medicare have to offer. Individuals who have Part C can have more insurance benefits available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D pays for substance abuse related medications. Including medications used for drug and alcohol withdrawal as well as those required for maintenance therapy such as methadone or buprenorphine.
