It is estimated that around 75% of clients at residential rehab programs for drug and alcohol addiction are smokers. While it is true that nicotine is addicting and clients in any sort of treatment for addiction should endeavor to be free from all addictive substances, this can introduce problems that make enforcing a non-smoking facility outweigh the advantages of this restriction.
