Medicare is a federal program that helps pay for medical healthcare services for people living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 years of age or older. For individuals who do have Medicare and need addiction treatment in Russia, Medicare will pay for various recovery programs and recovery services. Medicare consists of different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering certain types of medical care.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers substance abuse related medications. Including medications needed for drug and alcohol withdrawal as well as medications required for maintenance therapy such as methadone or buprenorphine.
