Partial hospitalization/Day Treatment is a type of out-patient drug and alcohol treatment program which is just below intensive out-patient and more intensive than regular out-patient rehab. Partial Hospitalization Day Treatment is also designed to help individuals who need intensive treatment for a dual-diagnosis disorder, but don't require 24 hour intervention and treatment. For a client who has completed inpatient rehabilitation, a partial hospitalization day treatment program in Rufe could help them transition more easily into a sober lifestyle as a viable "step-down" option. After partial hospitalization day treatment, the client could then transition into regular outpatient care.
When a person is in a partial hospitalization day treatment center, they commonly take part in services anywhere from three to five days per week. It is similar to an inpatient treatment program in many important ways, including the fact that individuals will have access tonurses, physicians, and mental health professionals who can deal with the physical, emotional and psychological issues they are trying to overcome. For at least four to six hours on the days that clients attend partial hospitalization day treatment, they will receive individual addiction therapy, attend group counseling sessions, psychotherapy sessions, get any needed medical care and deal with any of the mental health symptoms that trigger their alcohol and drug addiction.
