Halfway House - Alcohol and Drug Treatment Centers - Force, PA.

When a person has rehabilitated from a substance abuse problem, it's not as simple as picking up where you left off. Getting back to a stable and happy life takes time and a lot of determination. A Halfway House, also called a Sober Living Facility, is an environment where people in recovery can go where they can live in a clean and sober and positive environment until they are able to live confidently on their own. Living in a Halfway House may be a condition of a person's parole for example, or the person may make the decision to live in a Halfway House of their own accord after drug or alcohol treatment. Either way, residents of a Halfway House are clean and sober and striving to do what is necessary to get their lives back on track. This could mean getting one's GED, getting employment, etc.

Halfway Houses in Force are run by individuals who in many cases were once tenants of the house. The length of time an individual is allowed to stay at the Halfway House can vary, but it's typically anywhere from a month to a couple of years. Occupants must submit to alcohol and drug testing before being accepted into the house, and this testing will continue regularly to be certain there is not any drug use in the house or substance abuse issues that would be more adequately handled in a substance abuse treatment facility.
