The military currently uses a military insurance called Tricare to help veterans, active military members and their families receive health benefits. There is Tricare Prime, Tricare Standard, and Tricare Extra. Tricare Standard provides insurance benefits for retired military who are 60 or older and their qualified family members. With Tricare Standard they go to any non-military health care provider that is payable under Tricare, but also pay yearly deductible and coinsurance, along with any out-of-pocket expenses. Tricare Extra is available for Tricare Standard beneficiaries which provides access to non-military health care providers within their provider network, with a reduced coinsurance amount. Tricare Prime is available to all active-duty members, retirees, and all qualified family members, and with this they can select a primary doctor and obtain referrals to organizations that provide specialty care.
Through TRICARE, members of the military can acquire drug and alcohol rehabilitation services in Sunbury. This encompasses detoxification, individual and group therapy including family therapy, and other various rehabilitation services. They will require pre-authorization for services and there will most likely be some limitations. Military insurance covers both outpatient and inpatient, but inpatient services for detox are restricted to no more than 7 days.
