The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department in charge of efforts to promote the mental health of the United States. One of its duties is the supervision of opioid treatment programs, which are centers that offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are in the midst of opioid addiction and dependency.
