The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency in charge of efforts to advance the behavioral health of the United States. One of its responsibilities is the oversight of opioid treatment programs, which are programs who offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are experiencing opioid addiction and dependency. Drug prescribed are drugs such as buprenorphine, methadone, and other drugs that stop curb cravings and withdrawal for opioid dependent clients. SAMSHA certified opioid rehab programs in Norway are programs that are officially allowed to distribute the medicines used in MAT as long as they remain certified and always maintain the necessary requirements.
