The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency in charge of health efforts to advance the mental health of the U.S.. One of its responsibilities is the oversight of opioid rehabilitation programs, which are programs who offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are experiencing opioid dependency and addiction.
