Naltrexone is an additional drug used in opioid maintenance therapy, but unlike the other drugs aforementioned it is an opiate blocker and isn't an opioid. There is an option to take this drug as a monthly injection, and that is called Vivitrol. As an opioid blocker, the drug prevents a person from getting high from opioids, and therefore lowers the risk associated with relapse. This daily shot costs in the range of $1000 to $1200 per month.
