The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department responsible for efforts to promote the mental health of the U.S.. One of its responsibilities is the supervision of opioid rehabilitation facilities, which are programs that offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are in the midst of opioid addiction and dependency.
