It too is taken every day, and costs around $450 monthly. Naltrexone is an additional med taken in opioid maintenance therapy, but unlike the other drugs mentioned here it is an opioid blocker and is not an opioid. There is an option to take this drug as a monthly injection, which is called Vivitrol. As an opioid blocker, the drug prevents someone from experience being high from opioids, and therefore lowers the risk associated with relapse. This daily injection costs in the range of $1000 to $1200 per month.
