It is also taken on a daily basis, and is priced approximately $450 per month. Naltrexone is another med taken in opioid maintenance therapy, but unlike the other drugs mentioned it's an opiate blocker and is not an opioid. There is an option to take this medication as a monthly injection, and that is called Vivitrol. As an opioid blocker, the drug prevents someone from getting high from opioids, and in turn lowers the risk associated with relapse. This daily shot costs anywhere from $1000 to $1200 monthly.
