Partial hospitalization/Day Treatment is a type of out-patient addiction treatment program that is less than intensive out-patient and more intensive than regular outpatient treatment. When a person is in a partial hospitalization day treatment program, they commonly participate in services anywhere from 3-5 days a week. It is like an in-patient treatment program in many important ways, including the fact that people will have access tonurses, physicians, and mental health professionals who can deal with the psychological, emotional, and physical issues they are trying to overcome. For at least four to six hrs on the days that clients participate in partial hospitalization day treatment, the clients will get personalized addiction therapy, psychotherapy services, participate in group counseling, get any required medical care and address any of the mental health issues that trigger their alcohol and drug addiction.
