DWI Clients - Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation Centers - Center, TX.

DWI clients in rehab need specific requirements met to fulfill the terms of their court sentencing. Rehab programs which help satisfy these demands and terms, which are usually far more lenient than normal sentencing which would include large fines and incarceration, are offered in Center to provide educational services, counseling, and additional assessment for serious alcohol or drug issues.

Drug and Alcohol Education is a fundamental tool used at rehabs catering to DWI offenders. There are a few different levels of alcohol education and this can differ by state. Level I education classes generally include 12 hours of group education about the effects of alcohol and drugs. This is the what someone with a single offense or someone under the age of 21 will often be required to do. Level II courses would include both substance abuse education and group therapy at a program which is approved by the courts. The duration the individual will have to remain in therapy depends on certain factors, which can be, for example, how many DWI's the person has had, and the severity of the violation. Ordinarily, clients will be required to take the Level II DWI classes and therapy except for when their blood-alcohol level was very low when they were stopped and there were no other significant infractions when the individual was arrested.
