There are substance abuse programs available in or near Rose Hill Acres that cater to both methadone and buprenorphine clients only, controlled medications that are dispensed in what is called opioid maintenance therapy. There are dangers with drug interactions, side effects, and even overdose with both buprenorphine and methadone, which is why they are highly regulated and can only be administered in a clinical setting.
Methadone and buprenorphine clients take these medications consistently so they don't experience cravings, withdrawal, etc. but ideally at a dose which isn't at the same time making them feel high. Euphoria is possible at at higher dosages, more so with methadone than buprenorphine. At programs that treat methadone and buprenorphine clients only, actual rehabilitation activities and therapies are limited beyond this and the primary treatment goal is to handle the withdrawal symptoms and put an end to the illicit drug use. Some clinics do offer a limited amount of counseling and therapy as secondary services, and it is recommended and encouraged.
