DWI Clients - Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation Centers - Streetman, TX.

DWI clients in rehab need specific requirements met to satisfy the conditions of their court sentencing. Rehab programs which help satisfy these demands and conditions, which are typically more lenient than regular sentencing which would include heavy fines and jail time, are offered in Streetman to deliver alcohol education, therapy, and further evaluation for individuals with heavy alcohol or drug issues.

Education is a fundamental treatment tool used at rehab programs treating DWI offenders. There are different levels of alcohol education and this can vary by state. Level I education classes generally include 12 hours of group education related to the effects and dangers of drugs and/or alcohol. This is the what someone with a first offense or someone under 21 will commonly be required to complete. Level II classes would consist of both substance abuse education and group therapy in a court approved program. How long a client will need to remain in therapy depends on certain considerations, which can be, for example, how many DWI's the offender has had, and the seriousness of the offense. Most often clients will be required to take the Level II DWI classes and therapy except for when their blood-alcohol content level was very low when they were arrested and there weren't any other significant charges when the offender was arrested.
