DWI Clients - Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation Facilities - Washington, TX.

DWI clients in treatment need to complete specific requirements to satisfy the terms of their court sentencing. Treatment programs that help satisfy these requirements and conditions, which are usually more lenient than regular sentencing which would include steep fines and incarceration, are available in Washington to provide DWI classes, group counseling, and additional evaluation for serious drug or alcohol issues.

Education is an essential treatment tool used at rehab programs treating DWI clients. There are a few different levels of alcohol education classes and this can differ by state. Level I education classes generally consist of 12 hours of group education about the effects of drugs and/or alcohol. This is the what someone with a first offense or someone under the age of 21 will often be required to complete. Level II DWI classes would consist of both substance abuse education and group therapy in a court approved program. The duration the individual will be required to be in therapy depends on a few factors, which can be, for example, how many DWI's the individual has had, and the severity of the violation. Ordinarily, clients will be sentenced to the Level II classes and therapy except for when their blood-alcohol content was very low when they were arrested and there were no other serious infractions when the individual was arrested.
