Drug prescribed are drugs like buprenorphine, methadone, and other drugs which stop curb cravings and withdrawal for opioid addicted clients. Opioid rehabilitation programs accredited by SAMSHA must be licensed by the state in which they operate. In addition, they must register with the Drug Enforcement Administration through a local DEA branch. Once an opioid rehab facility is approved to operate, they need to get re-certified each year or every 3 years depending on the type of certification that was granted.
