The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency responsible for efforts to advance the mental health of the U.S.. One of its obligations is the oversight of opioid treatment facilities, which are centers which offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are experiencing opioid dependency and addiction.
