The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency in charge of efforts to promote the mental health of the United States. One of its responsibilities is the oversight of opioid rehabilitation programs, which are programs which provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are experiencing opioid addiction and dependency.
