The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department in charge of health efforts to promote the mental health of the United States. One of its obligations is the administering of opioid treatment programs, which are programs that offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are experiencing opioid dependency and addiction.
