The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency in charge of health efforts to promote the behavioral health of the United States. One of its responsibilities is the administering of opioid rehab facilities, which are programs who provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to people who are in the midst of opioid dependency and addiction. Drug given are drugs like methadone, buprenorphine and other drugs that help curb cravings and withdrawal for opioid addicted people. SAMSHA certified opioid rehab facilities in Newport News are programs who are officially permitted to give out the drugs used in MAT being they remain certified and continue to meet certain requirements.
