The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency responsible for health efforts to promote the behavioral health of the United States. One of its responsibilities is the supervision of opioid rehab programs, which are centers which offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are in the midst of opioid addiction and dependency. Medications given are drugs like methadone, buprenorphine and other drugs which stop curb cravings and withdrawal for opioid dependent clients.
