The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department responsible for health efforts to promote the mental health of the U.S.. One of its obligations is the administering of opioid rehabilitation facilities, which are programs that offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are experiencing opioid addiction and dependency. Drug administered are drugs such as methadone, buprenorphine and other drugs which stop curb cravings and withdrawal for opioid dependent clients.
