The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department responsible for health efforts to promote the behavioral health of the U.S.. One of its responsibilities is the administering of opioid treatment facilities, which are centers who offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are in the midst of opioid dependency and addiction.
