The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency responsible for efforts to promote the mental health of the nation. One of its obligations is the administering of opioid treatment facilities, which are programs who offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are in the midst of opioid addiction and dependency. Drug prescribed are drugs such as buprenorphine, methadone, and other drugs which help withdrawal and curb cravings for opioid dependent individuals. SAMSHA certified opioid rehab centers in Victoria are programs who are officially permitted to dispense the drugs used in MAT being they remain certified and continue to meet certain requirements. A requirement that MAT clients must also receive auxiliary benefits aside from medication such as counseling or behavioral therapy.
