It too is taken daily, and is priced around $450 monthly. Naltrexone is another drug taken in opioid maintenance therapy, but unlike the other drugs mentioned here it is an opiate blocker and isn't an opioid. A person has the choice to take this medication as a monthly shot, and that is called Vivitrol. As an opioid blocker, the drug prevents an individual from experience being high from opioids, and in turn lowers the risk associated with relapse. This daily shot costs in the range of $1000 to $1200 /month.
