The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency responsible for health efforts to promote the mental health of the nation. One of its responsibilities is the oversight of opioid rehabilitation programs, which are centers who offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are experiencing opioid dependency and addiction. Drug administered are drugs like buprenorphine, methadone, and other drugs which stop curb cravings and withdrawal for opioid dependent individuals.
