The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency responsible for efforts to promote the mental health of the United States. One of its responsibilities is the oversight of opioid rehab facilities, which are programs who provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to people who are experiencing opioid addiction and dependency. Drug given are drugs such as methadone, buprenorphine and other drugs which help curb cravings and withdrawal for opioid addicted individuals. SAMSHA certified opioid treatment programs in North Hartland are programs that are legally permitted to distribute the medications used in MAT being they remain certified and continue to meet certain requirements.
