The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department responsible for efforts to promote the mental health of the United States. One of its obligations is the administering of opioid treatment facilities, which are centers that provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to people who are experiencing opioid addiction and dependency.
