The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department in charge of health efforts to advance the behavioral health of the United States. One of its obligations is the supervision of opioid rehabilitation facilities, which are programs which provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are experiencing opioid addiction and dependency.
