The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency in charge of efforts to advance the mental health of the United States. One of its responsibilities is the oversight of opioid rehabilitation programs, which are programs that offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to people who are in the midst of opioid addiction and dependency.
