The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department responsible for efforts to advance the behavioral health of the United States. One of its obligations is the oversight of opioid rehabilitation programs, which are programs which offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are experiencing opioid addiction and dependency.
