The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department responsible for health efforts to advance the mental health of the nation. One of its responsibilities is the administering of opioid rehab facilities, which are programs that offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are experiencing opioid addiction and dependency. Medicine administered are drugs such as methadone, buprenorphine and other drugs that help withdrawal and curb cravings for opioid addicted clients.
