Naltrexone is another drug used in opioid maintenance therapy, but unlike the other drugs mentioned here it's an opiate blocker and is not an opioid. A person has the choice to take this medication as a monthly injection, and that is called Vivitrol. As an opioid blocker, the drug prevents someone from getting high from opioids, and therefore lowers the risk associated with relapse. This daily shot costs anywhere from $1000 to $1200 a month.
