Medicare - Drug and Alcohol Treatment Facilities - Shoreline, WA.

Medicare is a federal health insurance program which helps pay for health care for people living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 and older. For individuals that do have Medicare and require drug or alcohol rehab in Shoreline, this program can pay for various rehab programs and recovery services. Medicare consists of different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering various forms of care.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A covers inpatient drug and alcohol treatment, and up to 60 days in rehab without a co-pay but individuals will be required to pay a deductible. Medicare only covers 190 days of inpatient care total, as in during the person's lifetime.

Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B pays up to 80% of the fees for outpatient drug and alcohol treatment. This includes outpatient services, therapy/counseling, treatment for co-occurring disorders such as depression or anxiety and drugs administered by clinics. It also covers professional interventions.

Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an alternative for people who want supplemental coverage aside from what the other parts of Medicare have to offer. Individuals who have Part C may have more options available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers substance abuse related medications. Including medications needed for drug and alcohol withdrawal and medications required for maintenance therapy such as methadone or buprenorphine.
