Partial hospitalization/Day Treatment is a type of out-patient alcohol and drug rehab program that is less than intensive outpatient and more intensive than regular out-patient treatment. Partial Hospitalization Day Treatment is also designed to help individuals who require intense rehab for a co-occurring mental health disorder, but do not need 24 hour intervention and treatment. For a client who has finished inpatient treatment, a partial hospitalization day treatment plan in Milwaukee could be of help to them transition more easily into a drug or alcohol free lifestyle as a viable "step-down" option. After partial hospitalization day treatment, the person could then transition into regular outpatient treatment.
When someone is in a partial hospitalization day treatment center, they commonly participate in services anywhere from three to five days per week. It is like an in-patient program in many important ways, including the fact that people will get access tomental health professionals, physicians and nurses who can deal with the physical, emotional and psychological challenges they are trying to overcome. For at least four to six hours on the days that people attend partial hospitalization day treatment, the clients will receive one-on-one addiction therapy, attend group counseling sessions, psychotherapy sessions, get any needed medical care and deal with any of the mental health issues that trigger their alcohol and drug addiction.
