The military currently uses a military insurance known as Tricare to help veterans, active military members and their families obtain health benefits. There is Tricare Prime, Tricare Standard, and Tricare Extra. Tricare Standard offers benefits for retirees of the military who are 60 or older and their eligible family members. With Tricare Standard they go to any non-military health care provider that is payable under Tricare, but also pay yearly deductible and coinsurance, as well as any out-of-pocket expenses. Tricare Extra is available to Tricare Standard beneficiaries which grants access to non-military health care providers within their provider network, with a discounted coinsurance amount. Tricare Prime is offered to all active-duty members, retirees, and all qualified family members, and with this they can select a primary care physician and obtain referrals to organizations that provide specialty care.
Through TRICARE, military members can receive substance abuse rehabilitation services in Wautoma. This encompasses individual and group therapy including family therapy, detoxification, and other various substance abuse recovery services. They will need pre-authorization for treatment and there are likely to be some limitations. Military insurance covers both outpatient and inpatient, but inpatient services for detox are restricted to 7 days.
